Dario Fo and Franca Rame:
profession storyteller

24 March 2017 - 25 June 2017

The exhibition Dario Fo and Franca Rame: profession storyteller narrates all the important stages of the life of both artists through a chronological journey revealing their technique as storytellers.
Theatre, writing, painting, music and political commitment substantiate this exhibition exploring seventy years of artistic life through near 150 works, drawings, script drafts, canvases, photographs, sketches, puppets, books, stage costumes and other stage objects.
The stage designs conceived by Fo, his imagined and imaginary world as it expresses itself on paper, together with all his disparate scenic materials – gathered by Franca Rame and now housed in the State Archive in Verona – give life to a project which turns into theatre – thanks to the trickery of Commedia dell’Arte – the weave of fable and narration.
The exhibition preview will be held on March 23rd and the exhibition will be open to the public from March 24th to June 25th 2017.
